From April 10–12, 2026, God richly blessed the New Jersey UBF Spring Bible Retreat with powerful messages from Mark’s Gospel and special presentations on “Discipleship of Jesus.” The conference, titled “Come, Follow Me” (Mark 1:17), focused on following Jesus and growing as His disciples. Next generation leaders and Bible students served as messengers, lecturers, Bible study leaders, and music servants.

Isaac Lee (Lehigh University, “Come, Follow Me” Mark 1:16–20) and Daniel Gates (Rutgers University, “What Did Jesus Do?” Mark 6:30–44) delivered the main messages. Isaac received Jesus’ calling as a merciful invitation to a new life as a Bible teacher for campus students, and responded by singing “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.” Daniel learned Jesus’ compassionate heart and repented of his own selfishness and indifference toward students, leaving us with two questions: “What did Jesus do?” and “What would you do?” He resolved to practice Jesus’ compassion daily. David Gates and Joseph Lee Jr. shared testimonies that powerfully supported the messages, showing the blessing of following Jesus and growing in His compassionate heart. Praise the Lord.

Margaret Kim (Barnard College), Noah Booker, Sylvester O., Chad Chiu, Sera Lee, Sarah Kim, Faith Kim, and Grace Kim (Rutgers University) presented in a discipleship symposium. Their studies helped attendees gain a deeper understanding of discipleship and its practical application in becoming disciples and disciple-makers. We also thank God for the debut of the JBF (middle school) praise band. Formed just a few months ago, they have already begun serving through praise, bringing great joy and thanksgiving to everyone.
Praise the Lord, who has helped and empowered us through times of trouble as we fix our eyes on the gospel of Jesus and his calling for campus mission.
