Event Category: Summer Bible Retreat
Chapter: Atlanta UBF
Date: July 3-6, 2025
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Theme (Title): “God So Loved Us”
From July 3 to July 6, Atlanta UBF held its Summer Bible Retreat under the theme “God So Loved Us.”
We shared God’s grand story through four messages:
-
“You Are Very Good!” – God’s purpose and intention in creating mankind (Genesis 1:1–31)
-
“God’s Unchanging Love” – God’s love that remains unchanged even after the Fall
(Genesis 3:1–19) -
“God So Loved Us” – The love of God revealed through the coming, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (John 3:16–21)
-
“Love God and Love Your Neighbor” – Our role and responsibility after receiving the gospel, as seen in the Great Commandment (Luke 10:25–37)
All the speakers were second-generation leaders: Peter Lee (from Chicago UBF), Sam Lee, Sam Yun, and Josh Choi (Atlanta UBF). Additionally, every participant, including the CBF children, shared a personal reflection based on each message. The children also presented a skit portraying the Father's love for sinners based on Luke 15.
We earnestly pray that the second-generation of Atlanta UBF may grow as true worshipers, be lights to the world, and shine as a city on a hill in Atlanta. We also pray for the raising of Bible disciples on the campuses of Georgia Tech (GT), Georgia State University (GSU), and Kennesaw State University (KSU).
Currently, we are serving Maria, Stephen, Eli, Alex, Monse, Immanuel, and Karen through one-to-one Bible studies. We pray that through consistent Bible study, they may grow as disciples who follow Jesus—the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
We also pray that, through the weekly message series from Exodus, our church may grow in sanctification by putting on the identity of God's children and living in His true love—the love that disciplines His people and turns them back to the path of righteousness.
We pray that Missionary Wesley Yun may be clothed with the Holy Spirit and wisdom, so that he may faithfully serve this ministry with Christ-centered servant leadership and prayer.
