The 2025 Northeast Regional Summer Retreat was held after a 20-year hiatus. The retreat, themed "Community in Christ," emphasized forgiveness, love, and reconciliation, fostering healing and unity among members. The retreat was prayerfully and carefully planned by a young adult preparation committee. Key messages included Grace Chong's on loving one another (1 John 4:7-21), Emmanuel Ogbonna's on Jesus' transformative love (John 13), Samuel Choi's on reconciliation (Matt 5), and Joseph Han Jr.'s on remaining in Jesus to bear fruit (John 15). Joshua Chong and Joseph Sohn led morning devotions. Life testimonies were shared by Angela, Qasim, and Eduardo. David, Sayuri, Stephen, Joseph, Samuel, Daniel, Brandon (New York), Daniel (UMass), and Isaac (New Jersey) shared their life testimonies and were baptized. We also prayed for Missionary Grace Park, who will be going to Dubai, and were blessed by Eunice’s mission report on Belize. Special events included a Community Praise Night and a comical skit by the NY chapter, highlighting unity in Christ. The retreat was blessed by the Holy Spirit, so we decided to hold our regional retreat annually instead of every 4 to 5 years. Please pray for us as we prepare for next year's retreat, trusting that God will continue to build community in Christ in the Northeast Region.
