(USA) Homecoming Service for Missionary Pauline Park: “Jesus, the Good Shepherd”

Peter Park

On May 28, 2025, a homecoming service was held for Missionary Pauline Park, the beloved wife of Dr. Henry Park from Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Henry shared that on May 25, 2025, Pauline peacefully went to be with the Lord, falling asleep in her bed at the age of 71. In February 2022, she was diagnosed with colon cancer and courageously battled the disease since then. Now, she is free from pain and has entered eternal rest in the glory of God’s kingdom. Approximately 150 people from near and far gathered to cherish precious memories of her and bid her a heartfelt farewell. We thank God for using her mightily in His work as part of the Calves team, especially during the pioneering stages of the Chicago ministry at Northwestern University (NU) and the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC), and later in Columbus. In his message, Pastor Kevin shared how deeply Missionary Pauline served as a good shepherd to him, and Dr. Henry Park’s tribute was both touching and sincere. Pauline Park’s key verse was John 10:11: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” Dr. Henry shared that Pauline was a dreamer who accepted Jesus as her true husband. She was a dedicated Bible student and teacher, a fruitful disciple-maker, and a wonderful wife and mother to her two daughters.

Though we deeply mourn her absence, we hold onto the hope of seeing her again in God’s kingdom.
