Unlike previous years when the Missouri Valley chapters held separate retreats, this year the St. Louis and EIU chapters came together for a joint Easter retreat. Though preparations were made on short notice, God richly blessed the time, and participants learned about the heroes and heroines of faith in Hebrews 11. They were reminded that God rewards those who live by faith, especially in the face of trials and obstacles. David, Grace, and Missionary Luke all prepared their messages by faith, trusting God despite their busy schedules. After writing Bible reflections, there was an open mic session where Mary, Elizabeth, Grace, and others recited Hebrews 11 from memory and offered songs of praise. Though it was only a two-day retreat, it was a valuable opportunity to learn how to serve God and prepare all things by faith. Special thanks to Abraham, Grace, and all the New Heart UBF co-workers who provided the retreat center and served wholeheartedly.
