On October 12, 2024, Peter and Joanna were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Milwaukee UBF church building. Paul officiated the wedding and shared testimonies from Peter and Artha on how to have a blessed marriage by seeking God in their married life.
Their personal vows were heartfelt and sincere; their words of commitment to one another shone brighter than any ring. Many guests from around the world came to offer prayers of blessing and to encourage them in their love and commitment. They sang a duet together and were blessed by a solo from Sungjong and an Indonesian song performed by their friends. Peter and Artha chose several key verses about marriage, including 1 John 4:18, Ecclesiastes 3:11, and especially Romans 15:5-6, which says, “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
